How the Numbers Are Estimated

Each calculator applies a widely used formula to the figures you enter — for example distance divided by fuel economy for fuel cost, standard unit conversions between mpg and L/100km, last-service odometer plus interval for the maintenance tracker, and usable tread divided by a wear rate for the tyre estimator. These are general approximations, not measurements of your specific vehicle. They assume steady, linear behaviour that real vehicles rarely follow.

Where a Result Might Not Fit You

A result is more likely to miss if real conditions differ from the assumptions: heavy passenger loads, hilly routes, hard or stop-start driving, cold weather, under-inflated tyres, or a developing fault all move fuel burn and wear away from a simple formula. Time-based and engine-hours service limits, and statutory inspection dates, can also fall due before a distance-based interval does. Treat every output as a starting point to check against your own records and your maintenance provider, not a final answer.
